Your story. Your voice. Your YOUprint.
Does this sound familiar?

They have plenty to say. Getting it onto the page is the hard part.

You know there’s more to your teen than grades and activities. We help them discover what they want an admissions reader to understand—and find real experiences that show it.

“I have nothing to write about.”

We help students recognize meaningful qualities and experiences they may have overlooked. Everyday life can offer powerful evidence of who they are.

“I don’t know how to start.”

We talk through ideas, organize their thinking, and break writing into manageable steps so the blank page feels less overwhelming.

“This doesn’t sound like me.”

We help strengthen structure, detail, and reflection while preserving the student’s own words, perspective, and personality.

Introducing The YOUprint Method

Start with who they are. Find the stories that show it.

Your teen doesn’t need an extraordinary story to write a meaningful college essay.

We begin with their qualities, values, and ways of showing up in the world. Then we gather experiences that bring those qualities to life.

 Your identity is the blueprint.
 Your experiences are the evidence.

The essay might center on one story or connect several experiences. The goal is to show who the student is through specific details and thoughtful reflection.

The student writes the essay. We guide the process.

  1. Pinpoint
Explore the qualities and values that make your student who they are.
  2. Recall
Gather real experiences that bring those qualities to life.
  3. Interpret
Understand what those experiences reveal and why they matter.
  4. Narrate
Shape a clear essay with specific details, evidence, and reflection.
  5. Tune
Revise for clarity and impact while protecting their authentic voice.
Support that adapts to your student

Built for brains that don’t always move in a straight line.

Some students need to talk before they write. Others need a smaller first step, a clear outline, or help deciding which idea to follow.

We adjust the process with manageable tasks, clear next steps, and executive-function support when helpful. Your teen gets guidance from another trusted adult, so every conversation at home doesn’t have to become an essay check-in.

ADHD and neurodivergent-friendly. No diagnosis required.  We work with students with a wide range of learning styles and support needs.

A few questions parents ask

Before we get started.

What if our deadline is coming up soon?

Bring your student’s deadlines and current draft, if they have one, to the fit call. We’ll discuss priorities and confirm whether our availability and the time remaining are a good fit before you commit.

Can you help if my teen hasn’t started?

Yes. We can begin with conversation, self-discovery, and brainstorming. Students don’t need a topic or a draft before getting help.

Is this only for students with ADHD?

No. Our approach is intentionally ADHD and neurodivergent-friendly, but no diagnosis is required. We adapt the coaching to the student’s learning style and needs.

Who writes the essay?

Your student remains the author. We help them explore ideas, organize their thinking, develop specific details, and revise their own writing while preserving their voice.

Do you work with families outside Maryland?

Yes. One-on-one coaching is available virtually to students anywhere in the United States.

What happens during the free fit call?

We’ll talk about where your student is in the essay process, what’s getting in the way, and when their applications are due. Then we’ll discuss which support option fits their needs. The call is 15 minutes and free.
