Privacy Policy

Rainbow Connector, LLC, doing business as ForwardReady U ("ForwardReady U," "we," "us," or "our"), operates the College App Planner for ADHD mobile application and related services, collectively referred to as the "App."

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we disclose it, and the choices available to users.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that users provide directly, information generated through use of the App, and limited information received from service providers that help us operate the App.

Contact information

We may collect:

• Name
• Email address

We use this information to create and manage accounts, identify users, communicate about the App, provide support, and personalize the user experience.

Account identifiers

We assign or receive a user ID or similar account identifier. This identifier allows us to authenticate users, connect saved information with the correct account, maintain account security, and provide App functionality.

Sensitive information

Users may voluntarily provide information about academic achievement, learning needs or educational circumstances, including information related to ADHD, dyslexia, disabilities, accommodations, executive-functioning needs, or other support preferences.

We use this information only to provide and personalize App features, recommendations, reminders, organizational supports, and educational content.

Users are not required to provide more sensitive information than is reasonably necessary to use the applicable feature. Users should not enter medical records, Social Security numbers, financial-account credentials, or other information that the App does not specifically request.

The App is an educational planning and organizational tool. It does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or professional medical advice.

User content

The App may collect and store content entered or saved by users, including:

• College lists
• Application tasks and checklists
• Deadlines
• Notes
• Application progress
• Essay or activity-planning information
• Saved responses
• Educational goals
• Reminders
• Preferences and planning information

We use this information to provide the App's planning, organization, personalization, progress-tracking, and account-synchronization features.

Purchase history

We may receive and retain information about purchases associated with an account, including the product or service purchased, subscription or access status, purchase date, transaction identifier, and renewal, expiration, cancellation, or refund status.

Payments may be processed by Apple or another authorized payment provider, currently we are using Stripe. We do not intentionally collect or store complete payment-card numbers, security codes, or online-banking credentials.

Product interaction information

We may collect information about how a user interacts with the App, including features accessed, tasks created or completed, planner progress, buttons or screens used, dates and times of activity, settings and feature preferences, and errors or unsuccessful actions.

We use this information to operate the App, preserve user progress, troubleshoot problems, maintain security, improve usability, and understand whether App features are functioning properly.

2. How We Collect Information

We collect information:

• When a user creates or updates an account
• When a user enters, uploads, or saves information in the App
• When a user uses App features
• When a purchase is completed or updated
• When a user contacts us for assistance
• Through service providers that support authentication, hosting, data storage, payments, and technical operations

3. How We Use Information

We may use collected information to:

• Create, authenticate, and manage accounts
• Provide the App's planner and organizational features
• Save and synchronize user content
• Personalize reminders, recommendations, and educational supports
• Process purchases and maintain access to paid features
• Communicate service-related information
• Respond to questions and support requests
• Troubleshoot technical problems
• Maintain the security and integrity of the App
• Improve App functionality and user experience
• Enforce our terms and policies
• Comply with legal obligations
• Protect the rights, safety, and property of users, ForwardReady U, and others

We do not use sensitive information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

4. How We Share Information

We may disclose information to service providers that perform services on our behalf, such as cloud hosting and data-storage providers, database providers, authentication providers, payment processors, customer-support providers, and technical maintenance and security providers.

These providers may access information only as reasonably necessary to perform services for us. We require service providers handling user information to use reasonable safeguards and to provide privacy protections consistent with this Privacy Policy.

We may also disclose information:

• When required by law, court order, subpoena, or valid governmental request
• To investigate fraud, abuse, security threats, or violations of our policies
• To protect the safety, rights, or property of users or others
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, sale, or transfer of all or part of the business, subject to appropriate privacy protections
• With the user's direction or consent

5. No Sale, Advertising, or Cross-App Tracking

We do not sell users' personal information.

We do not use personal information for third-party targeted advertising.

We do not track users across apps or websites owned by other companies for advertising or advertising measurement.

We do not share sensitive educational, disability, or learning information with advertisers or data brokers.

6. Information Linked to an Account

The information described in this policy may be linked to a user's identity because it is associated with the user's account. This includes name, email address, user ID, user content, voluntarily provided sensitive information, purchase history, and product-interaction information.

7. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to maintain the user's account, provide requested App functionality, preserve saved content and progress, complete purchases and maintain purchase records, respond to support requests, protect against fraud or misuse, comply with legal, accounting, tax, and regulatory obligations, and resolve disputes and enforce agreements.

When an account is deleted, we will delete or de-identify personal information associated with the account unless we are legally required or permitted to retain particular information.

Some information may remain temporarily in encrypted backups or system logs until those records are overwritten through our ordinary retention processes. Information retained for legal, security, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes will not be used for unrelated purposes.

8. Account and Data Deletion

Users may initiate deletion of their account through the account settings within the App. Users may also contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal information.

When an account is deleted:

• The user will lose access to the account and saved App content
• Associated personal information will be deleted or de-identified, except where retention is legally required
• Deleting the App from a device does not, by itself, delete the user's account
• Deleting an account may not automatically cancel an Apple subscription or other recurring purchase; subscriptions may need to be canceled through the applicable payment provider

We may need to verify the requester's identity before processing a request.

9. User Choices

Users may:

• Review and update certain account information
• Edit or delete content stored in the App
• Choose not to provide optional sensitive information
• Withdraw consent for optional data uses
• Request deletion of their personal information
• Delete their account

Withdrawing or deleting information that is necessary for a feature may prevent that feature from functioning properly.

10. Children's Privacy

The App is designed for teenagers preparing for college, their parents or guardians, and college-planning professionals. It is not intended for children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. A person under 13 should not create an account or submit personal information through the App.

A parent or guardian who believes that a child under 13 has provided personal information should contact us. We will take reasonable steps to investigate and delete the information where appropriate.

11. Information Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee absolute security.

Users are responsible for protecting their account credentials and should notify us promptly if they believe their account has been accessed without authorization.

12. United States Operations

ForwardReady U operates from the United States. Information may be processed and stored in the United States and in other locations where our service providers operate.

Users outside the United States acknowledge that privacy laws in those locations may differ from the laws in their place of residence.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the App, our information practices, service providers, or legal obligations.

The effective date at the top of the policy will indicate when it was most recently revised. When appropriate, we may provide additional notice through the App or by email.

Continued use of the App after an updated policy becomes effective means that the updated policy applies to future use, subject to applicable law.
